Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag! First anniversary trip booked.

On September 19, the husband and I will be celebrating our very first anniversary as husband and wife.  We decided a few months back that we wanted to take a trip away and treat ourselves because we thought it would be a well deserved get away.  It has been a tough year for the two of us with all of the infertility issues.  Luckily the issues have only made our relationship stronger, Ive heard horror stories of it leading to divorce.  But I digress....

You ask, where are we going?  ::::::::::DRUM ROLL PLEASE::::::::::::::   GERMANY!!!!!!!!

We had originally wanted to go to Mexico, since it is our go to vacation spot.  About a month ago we got a message from my husbands uncle and family inviting us to come and visit them in Germany.  They offered to come pick us up from the airport and for us to stay with them on the Army base he is stationed at.  Due to another deployment, he was given a two week leave prior and it was important to him to spend some time with family before he goes since... well you know how it is.  We will be red eyeing it out of Green on Sept 23 and coming back Sept 30.  OH, the best part!!!!!!!  Oh yeah, it is going to be OKTOBERFEST in Munich.  Needless to say we will be hopping a train for one of the days we are there and drinking some authentic German beers from authentic German steins.
